In 2016, the Junior League of Huntington started combining acts of service with our monthly meetings. Typically, we will meet for 15-20 minutes to discuss current business and news, and then members will complete an act of service to the community. A list of our service projects is below.
Fall 2018 Provisional Project
Our Fall Provisional Class worked with a local preschool to teach the importance of healthy meal choices and exercise.

- In response to the teacher work stoppage, members of JLH donated food and packed food bags for children who rely on their schools to provide breakfast and lunch every day.

January 2018 -- Tour of the Facing Hunger Foodbank
- JLH members toured the Facing Hunger Foodbank to learn more about what the organization does. The January Soup Drive supports this organization. Additionally, members also helped pack backpacks of food at this meeting.

October 2017 -- Halloween Party at Golden Girl Group Home
- JLH members, led by the Community Impact Committee and the provisional members, hosted the second annual Halloween Party for the residents of Golden Girl!

- JLH took a tour of the new apartment complex that was built as a safe living environment for girls that are aging out of the Golden Girl Group Home.

- JLH members hosted a cooking class for the residents of Vanity Fair on Friday, March 17 at Huntington's Kitchen.

- JLH members supported the community event Toy Train, which provides Christmas toys to needy children in our area.

- JLH worked with individuals transitioning out of homelessness to teach them to cook a healthy meal of beef and chicken tacos and strawberry shortcake.

- JLH members to were asked to bring a food donation for ECCHO to the March General Membership meeting.
